Welcome to the home page of heatherdale Bed and Breakfast.

Our Comfortable Bed and Breakfast is located very close the Town Centre and with its well kept garden and warm atmosphere is the ideal place to relax after a busy day exploring the local area.

Situated in the idyllic Scottish town of Tain we are the ideal base for your holiday in the highlands, Close to Inverness with all its shops and attractions but yet far enough away to let you escape into country living. Not to mention the entertainment closer to home, Tain is a town bursting with history all of which can be discovered piece by piece as you enjoy your stay in comfort.  The Links Golf course in Tain is a challenging round for even the most experienced golfer and the Vast open space on the shore is host to many events such as the local Gala.

A short journey north takes you to the picturesque town of Dornoch with its fantastic Cathedral. Not to mention the Well-known Links Golf Course, talked about in many golfing circles as being one of the best.

A little further up the glen to Bonar Bridge, Past the Gleaming white walls of Dunrobin Castle you will find a small treat nestled away in the form of "The falls of Shin" A very popular natural Salmon Ladder where at the correct time of year salmon can be seen leaping up the falls to make their way to the spawning areas in the calmer water upstream.  The visitor centre features local and not so local products, is renowned for its cafe and the fact that the proprietor is non other than Mohammad Al Fied owner of Harrods in London. If you happen to be in the area for New Year you will possibly catch the best fireworks show around.

Don’t forget on your way back south to Heatherdale that you will be passing the Famous Glenmorangie Distillery where the 16 men of Tain are still busy making one of the finest Whiskeys in the country.

All this and much much more is available to make you want to return year on year.  More information about Tain is available HERE and information on other sites of interest is available on request.
